Hiking and Gorillas for 3 Days in Bisoke
Mount Bisoke is the most popular mountain in the Volcanoes National Park. It is an easy climb and it takes only one day to reach the summit, unlike the more demanding Karisimbi. On this 3-day safari, you will get the chance to hike and climb while tracking Gorillas as well. In addition, you will also enjoy a city tour of Kigali.
ITINERARY
DAY 1: TOUR KIGALI CITY – TRANSFER TO THE VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK
Our company guide will be at the airport or your hotel or airport to pick you up. Depending on what time your flight arrives, we may make an early morning pick up to start your tour with a half-day tour of Kigali city and especially the renowned Kigali genocide memorial center where you will learn about what happened during the 1994 Rwandan genocide. After visiting the genocide site, you will visit the local markets, the presidential palace museum, and a few artisan shops. We will then have lunch before proceeding to the Volcanoes national park.
On arrival at the National Park, you will relax and if time allows, we will head out to the Gorilla Guardian Village formerly known as the Iby’iwacu cultural Center. On a typical day, tourists visit the different rooms or attend to dance performances from the Kinyarwanda dance troupes. You can also get involved by putting on traditional regalia or learning how to hunt from the local Batwa pygmies.
Dinner and overnight at an accommodation of your choice.
