Sport Fishing and Game Viewing at Murchison (4 days)

Murchison Falls National park is the biggest national park and in Uganda. During this 4-day experience, we will combine a fishing safari with Rhino tracking and a wildlife game drive safari.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park and rhino tracking

A Native expeditions Africa safari driver guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe and transfer you to Murchison Falls National park. On our way, we shall stop by Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a Rhino tracking experience. Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch located in Nakasongola district is the proud home of the only wild rhinos in Uganda and presently the sanctuary is home to 32 southern white rhinos.

After Rhino tracking, you will have lunch and then proceed to Murchison Falls National Park arriving in time for dinner and overnight

Day 2: Mini game drive – sport fishing – Boat safari

After breakfast on day 2, you will go for a mini game drive to look out for the early risers that include lions, giraffes, elephants, warthogs, hyenas among others. After the mini wildlife game drive, you will go sport fishing around several pools below the Falls.

In the afternoon after lunch, you will go for a launch cruise on the Nile River which takes you to the bottom of the powerful Murchison falls. During this boat ride, expect to see hippos, Nile crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants and a variety of birds such as cormorants, bee-eaters, fish eagle, kingfishers and herons among others.

Day 3: Sport fishing.

On the 3rd day, after your breakfast, we will head out for the full-blown sport fishing experience with more engagement than what you experienced the previous day. Note however, that the acceptable experience here is the catch and release method only.

After fishing, you have the option to take another game in case a certain animal you wanted to view was not spotted the first time round.

Lunch, dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: Departure

Today after breakfast, you will be transferred to Kampala or Entebbe, arriving in the afternoon.
