3 Day Wildlife & Community Experience
Queen Elizabeth National Park is considered to be one of Uganda’s most varied and most beautiful protected areas. The park is home to two of Africa’s big cats, the majestic lion, the elusive leopard, and many other exciting mammals and birds (large and small. On this 3 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari and Community Experience, you will be introduced to two of Uganda’s biggest attractions; people and wildlife.
ITINERARY
Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Kasese
If you are setting off from Kampala, our guide will pick you up, preferably very early in the morning, as early as 6:30 a.m to embark on the 7 to 8-hour journey. Expect a series of stops for refreshments and notable sightings for example as we approach Masaka, we will stop by the equator for photo opportunities and optional crafts shopping.
We will then make our next stopover for lunch in Mbarara at the famous IGONGO Cultural center where you will enjoy your first taste of the amazing Ugandan local food that everyone talks about.
Dinner and Overnight at your accommodation of choice.
Day 2: Game drive and Boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel.
Immediately after breakfast on day 2, we shall head out for an early game drive along the world-famous Kasenyi trails of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Expect to see the park’s most dominant animals and birds including lions, elephants, hyenas, buffaloes, kobs and so many more. Because some of these animals require some searching to find, this game drive will last until it’s time for your lunch which we will return to your lodging of choice to enjoy.
After lunch, the Kazinga channel will be calling you to enjoy a cruise across Lake George and Lake Edward. The number of birds, hippos, crocs, and other water-loving animals you will see on this cruise is unmatched. That’s not to mention the vast, open waters on which you will glide for this experience.
Later that evening you will retire to your place of accommodation for relaxation, dinner, and reminiscing.
Day 3: Departure and community drive
On the final day of this tour, you will enjoy breakfast, and check out of the lodge, you could choose to have a primate walk in the Park or a community excursion before you head back to Kampala. As the case was on arrival day, we will make a stopover for lunch along the way in Mbarara or Masaka as well as craft shop visits in case you would like to carry some souvenirs for example at the Mpambire drum center, you will have the opportunity to see how drums are made by the locals and also have the chance to purchase one for decoration or even actual musical purposes.
Our guide will then safely return you to the airport or a destination of choice in Kampala.
