Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha, Tanzania
A Native Expeditions representative will welcome you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha.
Spend the rest of the day relaxing and preparing for your safari.
Overnight: Arusha
Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater Safari
After breakfast, travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the crater for a game drive.
Look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and hyenas. The crater is also one of Tanzania’s best places to search for the endangered black rhino.
Visit the area around Lake Magadi, where flamingos and other waterbirds may be seen.
Overnight: Ngorongoro area
Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Travel through northern Tanzania’s beautiful landscapes to Serengeti National Park.
After lunch, enjoy an afternoon game drive across the savannah. Possible sightings include lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, cheetahs and leopards.
Overnight: Serengeti National Park
Day 4: Full-Day Serengeti Safari
Spend the day exploring the Serengeti on morning and afternoon game drives.
The park’s open plains support one of Africa’s greatest concentrations of wildlife and predators. Depending on your travel dates and the movement of the herds, you may also witness part of the Great Wildebeest Migration.
Overnight: Serengeti National Park
Day 5: Fly from Tanzania to Uganda
After breakfast, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight to Entebbe.
A Native Expeditions representative will meet you at Entebbe International Airport and transfer you to your hotel.
Overnight: Entebbe
Day 6: Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Take a scheduled or chartered flight from Entebbe to an airstrip serving Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Your guide will meet you on arrival and transfer you to your lodge. Spend the afternoon relaxing or join an optional Batwa cultural experience.
Overnight: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing.
Accompanied by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, enter Bwindi’s rainforest to search for a habituated mountain gorilla family. Once the gorillas are located, spend the permitted time observing and photographing them.
Return to your lodge for a well-earned rest.
Overnight: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Day 8: Fly to Entebbe and Departure
Enjoy breakfast before transferring to the airstrip for your return flight to Entebbe.
On arrival, connect with your international departure flight or transfer to another agreed location. Additional accommodation can be arranged if required by your flight schedule.

The Great Migration moves through different parts of the Serengeti ecosystem throughout the year. Sightings depend on the season, rainfall and location of the herds.
Are flights included in the safari price?
The itinerary requires a regional flight from Tanzania to Uganda and return flights between Entebbe and Bwindi. Confirm flight arrangements and costs with Native Expeditions when requesting your quotation.
Is gorilla trekking difficult?
A reasonable level of fitness is recommended. Trekking time and difficulty depend on the gorillas’ location, forest conditions, terrain and weather.
