Itinerary



Day 1: Nairobi to Tsavo National Park

A Native Expeditions representative will collect you from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

Travel southeast to Tsavo National Park and arrive around lunchtime. After checking in and relaxing, enjoy your first afternoon game drive.

Look out for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, antelopes and predators across Tsavo’s expansive landscape.

Overnight: Tsavo National Park



Day 2: Full-Day Tsavo Safari

Spend the day exploring Tsavo on morning and afternoon game drives.

The wider Tsavo ecosystem supports elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, cheetahs, hippos, crocodiles and numerous antelope and bird species.

The exact game-drive route will depend on whether your lodge is situated in Tsavo East or Tsavo West.

Overnight: Tsavo National Park



Day 3: Tsavo to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, travel to Amboseli National Park.

Arrive around lunchtime, check in and relax before taking an afternoon game drive. Search for large elephant herds, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes and lions beneath Mount Kilimanjaro.

Overnight: Amboseli National Park

Day 4: Full-Day Amboseli Safari

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives across Amboseli’s plains, acacia woodland and seasonal wetlands.

Visit Observation Hill for panoramic views of the park and surrounding landscape. Mount Kilimanjaro is often most visible in the early morning or late afternoon, although clear views depend on the weather.

Day 5: Fly from Nairobi to the Maasai Mara

After breakfast, travel from Amboseli to Wilson Airport in Nairobi.

Take a scheduled flight to an airstrip serving the Maasai Mara. A Native Expeditions representative will meet you on arrival and transfer you to your camp, with wildlife viewing possible along the way.

Day 6: Full-Day Maasai Mara Safari

Spend the day exploring the Maasai Mara on morning and afternoon game drives.

Search for lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and hyenas.

During the migration season, large herds may move into the reserve from Tanzania’s Serengeti. The timing and location of the herds depend on rainfall and grazing conditions.

Overnight: Maasai Mara



Day 7: Fly to Nairobi and Departure

Enjoy breakfast before transferring to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Wilson Airport.

On arrival in Nairobi, transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, your hotel or another agreed location.

Additional accommodation can be arranged if required by your international flight schedule.

Does this safari include a balloon flight?
